Can you see through window film?

Typically, you can see through window film, but visibility depends significantly on interior and exterior lighting conditions. This is especially true for tinted window films, where the level of tint affects visibility. For example, buildings with tinted window film or reflective coatings offer daytime privacy, as those outside cannot easily see inside. On the other hand, if you are inside that building, you will be able to see outside through the window film clearly on a sunny day.

No matter how reflective or dark your tint is, during nighttime hours, if you have the lights on in your home or office, those outside will be able to see directly in due to the light being greater inside than outside
